HCHS Students to Attend Annual BOYS STATE
The concept of Boys State originated in Illinois and Illinois Boys State is the oldest youth
leadership training program in America. The National organization has adopted the plan and it
is now in operation in all fifty states. Boys State provides the experience, opportunity and
organization to teach young men citizenship and the workings of government. Friendships are
developed, new interest are found, and ordinary people begin to do extraordinary things.
After returning from Boys State, the three young mem and their parents will be guests of the
sponsoring organizations where they will be able to share their Boys State experiences.
