The Fulton and Mason County Arts Councils, in partnership with Dickson Mounds Museum recently hosted the Illinois Wildlife Photography Competition and Show. A total of 49 entries were received and are on display at Dickson Mounds Museum through March 6. Awards were given in the Amateur and Professional categories. There were no entries in the Youth category this year. Entries were judged by people's choice voting through February 20.
A total of 79 ballots were cast and the winners were: Professional Division, Amanda Woodruff, St. Augustine, IL, "Tree Frog"; Amateur Division, Liz Bennett Cheek, Topeka, IL, "Smiling Raccoon" We congratulate these winners and thank all who participated in this years show.

Mission: The MCAC shall seek to promote and encourage cultural and educational activities in Mason County. The Council may sponsor cooperative planning, research and public education programs. It may administer property and promote the development of appropriate facilities for presentation of various art forms. The Council may undertake such other services and programs as deemed necessary to
encourage appreciation and participation in the arts by all citizens in the area.
