American Legion Post 138 in Havana, IL meets on the fourth Monday each month at approximately 7:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Odd Fellows Building at 407 S. Broadway.

HCHS Students to Attend Annual BOYS STATE

Jeff Dunker, William Schoonover and Zackery Whitlow will attend the 80th session of Premier Boys
State of Illinois June 13 to June 19 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
The young men, all currently juniors at Havana Community High School, are being sponsored by the
American Legion Havana Post 138, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6408 and the Havana Optimus Club.

Dunker_JohnxJeff is the son of John and Laura Dunker. He is a member of FFA, Interact Club, Boys H Club, National Honor Society and a Maroon Scholar. In sports he participates in Basketball, Football and Track. He also works on community projects. After graduation from HCHS Jeff plans on attending Wichita State University to obtain a degree in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice






Schoonover_WilliamxWilliam is the son of Donald and Renee Schoonover, He plays three varsity sports that include Football, Wrestling and Track. He is a member of FFA, FCA, Boys H Club, National Honor Society and a Maroon Scholar. After graduation he plands on attending a four-year university majoring in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration.






Whitlow_ZackeryxZak is the son of Rodney and Tonya Whitlow. He is involved in sports, Basketball and Football, also in Chorus and Drama Club. He is a member of Interact Club, Spanish Club, Tri-M, Boys H Club, FCA, National Honor Society and a Maroon Scholar. He also participates in Church and Community activities. After High School he plans on attending College and be involved in Chorus, Drama and work towards an Engineering Degree.
