Public Notice Budget & Appropriations FY 20-21

To protect our community from the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Havana Public Library District
Board of Trustees is holding this public hearing in accordance with the Governor’s recent Executive
Order suspending certain aspects of the Open Meetings Act during the COVID-19 crisis. A board
member will be present at the Library Annex (118 S. Plum) during this hearing. Members of the public
can listen to the audio of the proceedings using ZOOM or attend in person at the Library Annex (118 S.
Plum). Below is the link to join online and the numbers to join via telephone. Members of the public
may send public comment statements to the Library Director at director@havana.lib.il.us
Please be aware that comments sent to the Library will be read individually in the public meeting. If you
have any questions, please call 309-543-4701 prior to the hearing.

Notice is hereby given to the Public that on September 10th, 2020, at the hour of 4:15 P.M. at the
Havana Public Library Annex, 118 South Plum Street, Havana, Illinois, a public hearing will be held on the
annual Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for the Havana Public Library District for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021. Any person interested in said budget and ordinance may
be present at said time and place and may be heard in regard to the budget and ordinance in accordance
with the Governor’s Executive Order. The tentative budget is now on file with the Secretary of the Board
of Trustees, Havana Public Library District, at the Library office and may be reviewed prior to said hearing
by requesting a copy by phone to be picked up at the Library or being sent via E-mail.
